Elegance: gracefully refined, richly adorned, ingeniously simple, a classic & timeless sense of style
"Sunlight through lace, ... sounds of birds in the cool spring morning ... the way leaves flutter in the breeze ... long walks adoring architecture & grand old homes ... beautiful book ... fabrics and textures ... beautiful music ... stones, precious and natural ... these are the core of all that inspires me. The way wire moves in my hands and joins one stone to the next is calming and even meditative. Add to that, things old and treasured or found unexpectedly and I am in complete joy! From this joy flows all I do." Ellen
Ellen often says it is easier to ask her what she has not done since her background is so full of rich and rare experiences, from working retail jewelry to owning her own antique shops and raising chickens in her backyard. From buying and living in a 100 year old church in a small town in Alberta to moving permanently to Mexico with her best friend and life partner, Daniel Siqueiros, Ellen's life is never short of adventure and discovery. Now back in Canada engaged in a new career, Ellen continues her love of fine wirework. She creates custom classic necklaces for those with discriminating taste. She is often wearing one or more of the fine gemstone necklaces that she is known for. You can buy what she is wearing...just ask.
Self taught in her delicate wire wrapping, her exquisite attention to detail comes from her love of fine quality and classic elegance. In 2006, to further her skills, Ellen took formal training in silversmithing at Sterling Quest School in San Miguel de Allende from Billy King, the man she describes as 'the best teacher ever'. Ellen's creations are always made with joy and love and it is evident in each piece.

“To live content with small means;
to seek elegance rather than luxury, refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respectable, wealthy, not rich;
to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart;
to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly,
talk gently, await occasions, hurry never;
in a word, to let the spiritual,
unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common
- this is my symphony¨.
